Customer Reviews — [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2008-09-03 Summary: Does the job ... I can't stand treadmills or ellipticals, so this was the obvious choice. I'm glad we purchased this. I use it daily, and after one month, my clothes are fitting a little bit better. The best part is that I feel better and sleep like a baby at night. However, the downside is that my 6'2" husband can't find much use for this, since he can't take a long enough stride on it. So if you're tall (or just have particularly long legs), you might need to cough up the bucks and upgrade to one of the models with the longer treadles. ...more

I have been using the bowflex strength training for many many years now, but I just didn't get the same amount of attention in the cardio department. With this treadclimber, now I am! I wanted to try it out for myself. It was quiet and steady and comfortable on my legs. I was pleasantly surprised. It was on sale. However, they were out of them since this is last years model. We searched the other stores. I would have purchased from Amazon but we read about the shipping problems with Amazon and this product. We found the last one at another local store. I previously owned a ProForm that lasted eight years of regular use before the frame broke. Since I use it regularly, I wanted a more expensive unit than the $399 ProForm that I had. I narrowed it down to the Schwinn 431 for 2 main reasons: Most comfortable for me and a good price in comparison to the others. I paid $699. As far as the other reviews I read, they are accurate.
